FAS Motorsports machines billet supercharger parts and builds power packages for Hellcat, TRX, Trackhawk, LS, LT and Powerstroke platforms, selling to retail customers and a dealer network. Their commerce logic was spread across a CMS, serverless functions and manual scripts. Prices drifted between the site and Google Shopping until the whole feed was silently disapproved, dealers had no self-service, shipping was quoted by hand, and nothing was tested. Off-the-shelf stores could not model configurable parts, four dealer price tiers, core charges, or in-house fabrication services.
We designed and built one commerce core on Vendure (NestJS and PostgreSQL) hosted on Railway, a server-rendered Astro storefront on Netlify, and a Sanity Studio that keeps product authoring, the blog, SEO pages, email campaigns and dealer records in one place. Signed webhooks keep the three in agreement, and CI guards make it impossible for the CMS to overwrite a price or a stock level.
- 18 custom Vendure plugins and 98 domain fields: configurable parts, add-ons, core charges, vehicle fitment and lead times
- Four dealer price tiers applied automatically by customer group, plus a 38-page dealer portal with orders, invoices and pay-online
- Live UPS rates through Shippo, with a guard that blocks checkout on an under-priced or unavailable method
- Stripe embedded checkout with session recovery and automatic abandoned-checkout cleanup feeding 1-hour and 24-hour recovery emails
- Post-purchase pipeline: confirmations, carrier tracking, delay notices, refunds, review requests, internal email and SMS alerts
- Daily Google Merchant Center feed and local inventory sourced from live prices, with feed-quality scoring on every variant
- 132-type Sanity Studio with publish-blocking validation, JSON-LD preview, 20 operations dashboards and branded quote and invoice PDFs
- One deploy gate wired into CI, git hooks, Railway and Netlify, backed by more than 1,500 automated tests
The platform runs fasmotorsports.com today: 205 storefront pages, a 61-product catalog, a 51-post blog and keyword-modelled landing pages for each vehicle platform. Google Shopping is fed from live data every morning instead of a stale export. Between the last quarter of 2025 and summer 2026 organic search clicks grew 7.9×, and non-brand searches such as "hellcat supercharger" moved from unranked to the first page.
